Purpose of the Article Processing Charge (APC).
The author’s payment for the processing and publication of a scientific work ensures its open access by covering the costs associated with the full publication cycle, in particular:
– technical editing and formatting of the text;
– administration of editorial processes;
– preparation of accompanying digital materials (certificates, confirmations, etc.);
– electronic publication of the material and its permanent archiving;
– assignment and maintenance of digital identifiers (DOI);
– technical support and maintenance of the website;
– ensuring indexing and dissemination in scientometric and abstracting databases, electronic libraries, etc;
Amount of the Article Processing Charge (APC).
The Article Processing Charge is publicly available and does not change after submission of the material. The amount of the fee depends on the volume of the scientific material.

Procedure for Payment of the Article Processing Charge (APC).
The manuscript is submitted in accordance with the Manuscript Submission Procedure. After peer review and receipt of a positive decision, the author makes the publication payment. Publication is carried out after confirmation of payment in the nearest issue of the journal.
Discounts and Waivers of the Article Processing Charge (APC).
In order to expand publication opportunities for authors from low-income countries, the editorial board of the journal «GRAIL OF SCIENCE» may offer individual discounts or partial APC compensation. The author must contact the editorial board with a justified request. Each case is considered individually.
Third-cycle higher education students (PhD candidates) funded by the state who submit single-authored articles (without co-authors) are exempt from any fees, including the Article Processing Charge. The author must send the manuscript and author information to the editorial office email grail@ukrlogos.group with the subject «PhD Article for Review».
Policy on Simultaneous Submission of Manuscripts.
Simultaneous submission of the same scientific work to multiple journals is a violation of publication ethics in accordance with COPE recommendations. Such actions artificially increase the workload on journal editorial boards and reviewers. When submitting a manuscript to the journal, the author must ensure that the same material is not under consideration in another publication.
Authors of the journal «GRAIL OF SCIENCE» may use manuscript submission via the Submission Form on the website with prior APC payment. The editorial board considers the prior payment as confirmation of the author’s intention to publish the work specifically in the journal GRAIL OF SCIENCE, readiness to revise the material if necessary, and confirmation that the material is not under consideration in another publication. Advance APC payment is not a submission fee or a peer review fee, does not affect the outcome of peer review, and does not guarantee acceptance for publication. In case of rejection of the manuscript, the advance APC payment is refunded to the author in full automatically.
Principles of Integrity in Article Processing Charges (APC).
The editorial board of the journal «GRAIL OF SCIENCE» does not use hidden fees, does not charge for submission or peer review, and does not link payment to the results of peer review. The journal’s financial model is aimed exclusively at covering costs associated with editorial and publishing activities.
The editorial board conducts financial operations in accordance with national and international financial monitoring standards. The editorial board of the journal «GRAIL OF SCIENCE» does NOT accept payments:
– from persons located / registered in the Russian Federation or Belarus;
– for the fulfillment of obligations to persons located / registered in the Russian Federation or Belarus;
– using Russian or Belarusian rubles.
Please note that the editorial board is also unable to accept payments from jurisdictions designated as high-risk or non-cooperative in the field of anti-money laundering. The current list of such jurisdictions is available in the FATF Recommendations.
Any payments related to the Article Processing Charge do not in any way affect the outcome of peer review or the editorial decision regarding acceptance of the manuscript for publication. The editorial board of the journal «GRAIL OF SCIENCE» guarantees the independence of all editorial decisions.
