FAIR Data Policy
The editorial board of the journal supports the principles and values of open science and considers open scientific (research) data as an important component of ensuring transparency and reproducibility of scientific research. In its activities, the editorial board is guided by the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability), which ensure the discoverability, accessibility, interoperability, and reuse of data. In its work, the editorial board of the journal is guided in particular by:
– recommendations on data sharing by the
Committee on Publication Ethics

General Principles of FAIR Data.
The editorial board recommends that authors ensure that research data are:
Findable, i.e., have unique identifiers (DOIs), metadata, and descriptions;
Accessible, i.e., available through reliable repositories;
Interoperable, i.e., in open, standard formats;
Reusable, i.e., provided with clear terms of use and licensing.
Requirements and Recommendations.
Provision of research data is recommended for all scientific works, but is mandatory if:
– the research results are based on empirical data;
– this is required by funding organizations;
– this is necessary for verification of results.
If open access to data is not possible (for example, due to confidentiality or legal restrictions), authors must provide a justified explanation. The policy is aimed at ensuring reproducibility of scientific results.
Recommended Data Repository.
The journal recommends using open international repositories, in particular Zenodo by OpenAIRE. The editorial board has its own community in Zenodo, which allows:
– centralized storage of research data;
– assignment of DOIs to datasets;
– ensuring long-term preservation and access.
Editorial Support for Authors.
To simplify the process, the editorial board offers authors the возможность to submit research data together with the manuscript in the form of an archive. In this case, the editorial board:
– independently uploads materials to Zenodo;
– creates metadata;
– ensures assignment of a DOI to each dataset;
– establishes a link between the article and the data through mutual references.
This allows authors not to deal with the technical aspects of data deposition.
Data Availability Statement.
A scientific work must include a «Data Availability Statement», which specifies:
– where the data are stored (with link and DOI);
– conditions of access or the reason for restricted access.
The data supporting the results of the study are available in the Zenodo repository and can be accessed via DOI: [DOI].
All data supporting the results of the study are presented in the text of the article.
The data are not publicly available due to confidentiality restrictions but may be provided upon reasonable request subject to compliance with relevant requirements.
Requirements for Research Data.
Research data:
– must be structured and understandable;
– must be accompanied by a description (metadata, README);
– must be provided in open or commonly used formats (CSV, TXT, XLSX, JSON, etc.);
– must be accompanied by sufficient metadata for interpretation and reuse;
– must not contain personal or confidential data without proper legal and ethical justification and protection.
Data Licensing.
The use of open licenses is recommended, in particular: Creative Commons (e.g., CC BY or CC0). This ensures the possibility of data reuse with proper attribution.
Linking of Article and Data.
The editorial board ensures:
– inclusion of the dataset DOI in the article;
– inclusion of the article DOI in the repository record;
– integration of data into the scientific information space.
Authors’ Responsibility.
Authors are responsible for:
– accuracy and completeness of the provided data;
– compliance with ethical standards;
– legality of data dissemination;
– obtaining necessary permissions (in case of use of third-party data).
Restrictions on Data Access.
In cases where open access to data is not possible, authors may:
– provide access upon request;
– publish only metadata;
– justify the restriction (confidentiality, security, legal requirements).
Policy Violations.
In case of non-compliance with the principles of open data, the editorial board may request revision of materials, reject the manuscript, or publish appropriate corrections in accordance with international COPE recommendations.
