In its activities, the editorial board is guided by recommendations of international organizations, in particular:
– best practice recommendations for publishers by the
Committee on Publication Ethics
– as well as best practices by the
Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association
General Principles of Archiving.
The editorial board guarantees:
– permanent open access to published materials;
– long-term preservation of scientific content;
– protection against data loss or technical failures;
– maintenance of stable links to publications through DOIs.
Digital Archiving Systems.
To ensure reliable preservation of publications, the journal uses international digital archiving systems:
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) – a program that enables the creation of distributed archival copies of content in libraries around the world.
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) – a digital preservation network that ensures archiving of journal content through the Public Knowledge Project infrastructure.
These systems guarantee:
– backup of materials;
– preservation of content even in case of termination of the journal’s website;
– access to archives through independent preservation nodes.
Geographical Distribution of Archives.
Archiving is carried out through international institutions, including:
– Stanford University Libraries, USA (LOCKSS);
– Simon Fraser University, Canada (PKP Preservation Network).
Archiving via Indexing and Library Systems.
